My name is Kathryn Haigh and I am based in Kent in the UK.
I am self- taught painter and my medium is acrylics. I began drawing from an early age, influenced by my mum who painted mainly landscapes in oils and watercolours.
I have always had a love of horses and have always been inspired by them. They became the main focus of my work when I began painting more regularly in 2008. I started doing commissions of horses and then other animals and progressed to producing my own work. Although animals are still the main focus, I enjoy painting a variety of subjects.
I would like to improve my techniques and create paintings I am truly proud of. My work slowed down due to having a family but I would like to begin painting regularly again and get my work out to a larger audience.
I have previously exhibited with the Association of Animal Artists and The Society of Equestrian Artists.
