NAME: Gordon Corrins

LOCATION: Fife, Scotland

DID YOU HAVE ANY FORMAL TRAINING? No

SUBJECT OF CHOICE: Apes, big cats, marine life

MEDIUM OF CHOICE: Fluid acrylics on Kaolin clay covered board

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?: The soul and character of wildlife

DO YOU HAVE ANY ARTISTIC AMBITIONS THAT YOU ARE WORKING TOWARDS? Ideally to work full time as an artist.

As far as my work is concerned, I would hope it can make a difference and introduces people who would not normally look a wildlife to see the life and soul in animals and have people think more about the planet’s wildlife.

Most of my work has always sold with a percentage going to animal charities, most notably Born Free, Blood Lions, Lion Aid, Scottish Wildcat Haven and recently The British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR). BDMLR do tremendous work and I have been giving them my support, to this end I have recently become their second Patron, which is a terrific honour for me.
