I am a mixed media artist and sculptor using natural and man made materials. Animals, especially horses have always featured in my life .having ridden since the age of nine. then enjoyed competing in horse shows and being active in running a Bridleway Group to keep our tracks open. Sadly my last horse ,Kizzie died aged 32 .but i now can ride my grand daughters pony.
My working career in Sales ended in redundancy a few years ago ,so i enrolled as a mature student on a fine art degree at University Central Lancashire, then obtained a teaching qualification and have spent 10 years teaching a wide range or art and crafts to community groups and schools.My studio is based with Valley Artists , Waterfoot, Rossendale Lancashire. we hold workshops ,exhibit as a group ,and run life drawing classes.
I have enjoyed exhibiting and organizing individual projects ,my work is mostly concerned with animals , my response to their behaviour and relationships, which i explore using a variety of of mediums.
