My name is Nicolette and I am based in the south-east of the UK. I've always loved animals. Our home was always filled with pets of many kinds and I was always rescuing injured insects or wildlife and insisting to my mother that I be allowed to rehabilitate them! David Attenborough and David Bellamy were big heroes of mine and I watched every nature documentary I could find.
I drew frequently as a child, but it was never considered a possible profession and my parents told me to find a proper job! However, I have recently rediscovered my passion for drawing and art. I prefer realism and mainly use coloured pencils and occasionally graphite, aiming to capture and enhance the personality and character of the animal.
