Hi, my name is Clare and I live in Cheshire with my husband and two children.

I spent many years working as a professional dancer and was fortunate enough to travel to some wonderful places,often taking my sketchbook with me. But it wasn't until I had had my family several years later and the children were a bit bigger before I started spending more time drawing and painting again.

I'm self taught, but learned a lot from my late Mum who was an extraordinary artist, though she would never have said that herself!

Several years ago I painted my step Mother-in-laws dog as a Christmas gift and it lit a flame for focusing on pet portraits, so I work on commissions in watercolour and draw or paint birds and other wildlife when I can too...and I really love it!
